How to Rebuild a Daily Schedule

That Honors Your Goals and Your Life

Reset and rebuilding isn’t about doing more. It’s about checking in, knowing the priority, and making sure your time reflects it.

If you keep saying, “I don’t have enough time,” let me stop you right there:

You do have time.

But your time is being stolen.

👉🏾 By distractions.

👉🏾 By multitasking.

👉🏾 By unclear priorities.

👉🏾 By wasting minutes figuring out what to do next.

So, how do you rebuild your day around what actually matters?

Step 1: Ditch the Hustle Template

Yes, time is passing. But hustling isn’t the answer.

The “I’ll sleep when I die” mindset is a fast track to burnout. Do you really want to be tired in this life and the afterlife? Chile, boo.

Hard work isn’t the enemy ... The hustle mindset is.

Hustle glorifies busy.

Hard work honors priorities.

Step 2: Build From Your Priorities

That’s why I love to-dos and brain dumps.

Getting everything out of your head gives you a clear picture of what’s actually on your plate.

This week, I’ve been deep decluttering my Asana boards (my digital HQ).

  1. I even keep my grocery list there.

  2. I track daily focus, weekly priorities, monthly must-dos, and even future projects.

  3. But the magic isn’t in the software ... It’s in how I separate “must-dos” from “nice-to-dos.”

Because here’s the truth: Not all tasks are created equal. Treating them like they are is why your day feels packed but unproductive.

Step 3: Simplify the Tools

You don’t need 10 apps, color-coded calendars, and a stack of planners to get your life together. Honestly? You need the basics:

  1. A pen.

  2. Some paper.

  3. A little time and space to clear your head.

I start messy, pen and paper, then move it into Asana for structure. That’s my system. Yours doesn’t need to look like mine, but it does need to be simple enough that you’ll actually use it.

Do you have a system?

Do you need a system?

You have to find one that will work for you, and I can help support you in that process.

Step 4: Work With Your Energy, Not Against It

If I've said it once, I've said it a whole bunch of times ... And, I'm here to say it again! You have to work with your body, by working with your energy, instead of against it.

I had plans for co-working and being super productive today to round out this weekend and go ahead an kick off the week strong. But, co-working didn't happen ... So, that left me feeling "blah" and putting off finishing this blog to get it posted.

So, I gave myself the grace, did what my energy was telling me to do.

And then, when I sat down to finish the tweaks to the blog, this lesson and reminder came to me.

Here’s where sustainability comes in:

  1. Energy mapping makes sure you’re doing hard tasks when you’ve got the most focus.

  2. Time-blocking keeps your day from being hijacked.

  3. Boundaries protect the priorities you’ve already set.

That’s the rebuild: priorities + simple tools + sustainable rhythms.

Final Check-In: Mindset

The tools don’t matter if your mindset is still “do more, go faster.” The shift is: Do what matters, with intention.

That’s how you rebuild a schedule that honors both your goals and your life.

So, let me ask you: Where do you need to start decluttering ... Is it your time, your tasks, your tools, or your mindset?

No matter which it is, if you want or need help in the decluttering phase so that as you build back better, you have something sustainable, that honors your goals and your life ... I'm here to help!
