Mid-Year Reset:
The 4-Step Game Plan to Finish Summer Strong
If your brain is turning to muss, your calendar feels chaotically hectic, and your goals feel like a figment of your imagination ... It’s time for a reset.
Declutter Your Life: The Summer Edition
🌞 Summer’s all about simplifying, and that starts with clearing the mental, physical, and emotional clutter.
Let’s start here. You can’t reset your goals if your life is buried under clutter.
Here’s how I help my clients declutter for real life clarity, not just in the summer:
✅ Declutter your workspace
A clean, organized workspace equals more focus and with distractions because you know what you're working with and where it is. Start with just 15 minutes a day, then make a part of your weekly reset.
I have a client currently sending me pictures of her desk and work area as she continues working through the work we started in coaching in small, manageable chunks for her.
✅ Declutter your mind
Brain dump. Journaling. Meditation. Prayer. Silence. Whatever tool works for you, use it to get what’s in your head out of it, and make space for fresh energy.
I'm sure you know by that I love me a good brain dump to get the web of thoughts in my head down onto paper so that I can clear the clutter and come up with a game plan to work through them.
✅ Declutter your schedule
Stop overbooking out of guilt or the feelings on obligation. What can wait? Whether that be until fall, next year, or some other time? Let go of anything that’s not aligned with where you are right now and what needs your attention currently.
Learn to actually look at you calendar and schedule before you say yes to something. You can either pull up your calendar right then or tell them you'll get back to them after you check it.
✅ Declutter your tech
Unsubscribe. Delete. Organize. Whether it's your phone, inbox, digital files, physical files, or going through your closets, you need boundaries too.
I'm in the process of doing an overall of my Asana and creating a master tech hub for myself, so that I can have all my business documents within a few short clicks. But, this is a working mess, and a work in progress for sure.
When you declutter, you don’t just make space, you make space for momentum to happen.
So Let’s Talk Mid-Year Reset …
Half the year is gone, but that doesn’t mean you’re behind.
It just means it’s time to recalibrate.
I'm doing my own 6 month reset, not because I had a “perfect plan,” but because life has been life-ing. When it comes to some of those goals that I set the beginning of this year, some things need to change and have to give.
There’s been pivoting … and more pivoting … and somewhere in that chaos, I realized: I was off track not because I failed, but because my reality shifted.
So now, I’m not just going back to the goals I set in January. Instead, I'm creating a vision of what I want the rest of this year to look like, of what will make me feel food when I get to the end of the year and look back over the year as a whole.
💡 In order to do this I’m asking myself deeper questions:
What still matters?
What needs to be released?
What’s calling me forward now?
This reset isn’t about starting over. It’s about realigning.
Here’s the 4-step game plan I’m using to guide me:
🔄 The 4-Step Mid-Year Reset Framework
Reflect – What worked? What flopped? Own both - there are lessons in them both.
Reset – Realign your goals with the season you’re in, not the one you planned for.
Refocus – Pick 1–2 priorities for July instead of focusing on 10 things at a time.
Rebuild – Plug into systems that support your energy, not just your ambition.
📌 July is your clean slate.
Don’t wait for January to get intentional.
You never need a new year, a new month is just as good.
💭 Final Thoughts:
You don’t need a complete overhaul. You just need a clear next step.
Let this be your permission slip to pause, pivot, and plan your way, with grace, clarity, and real momentum.
