Still Off Track?

Here’s How to Reset Your Goals Without Starting Over

You know I'm going to keep it real ...

I spent last week, and even this week, resetting.

I did this mid year reset that I was talking about last week.

Somewhere between life, work, and the goals I thought I set in January ... I realized:

I couldn’t even tell you what my yearly goals were anymore.

So much had changed in the first half of the year, priorities, energy, capacity, direction.

So, when I realized that I didn't know what my yearly goals even were anymore, I knew that so much had changed with the first two quarters, and this first half, of the year

That’s when I knew: it was time to simplify.

Which is perfect, since I'm not focusing on the year anymore, but instead focusing on the quarter - i.e., 12 weeks ... I could adopt a new approach.

📆 The 12-Week Year

This structure gives me just enough space to recommit without feeling overwhelmed by the rest of the year.

It's funny, I read this book a couple years ago and it wasn't really hitting for me when I read it.

But, then here I come realizing that I need a new, or different, way to focus on my goals, I came up with my own game plan for how to do it, then this 12 Week Year concept dropped back into my life ...

You know how you talk about social media is listening, and the algorithm feeding you things ... Well, now I'm in this 12 week year accountability group, all from an Instagram story of a girl putting it out there, asking if others wanted to hold each other accountable this quarter.

Crazy how that happens and life works.

Now, I even have support to keep me on track!

Well, with this quarterly game plan, it helps me reverse engineer it into weekly tasks.

& then, I can break that down over the course of the days within that week.

As I was doing my 6 month reset, I had to ask myself some tough questions and get honest with myself about the answers, I knew that there was more that had to change.

So, after that, and both in the midst, and as I thought I'd finished, planning for the quarter and the month, life decided to life again ...

This meant that the plan that I was making, yea, I needed to pivot again. But. such is life, and life is such: just keep living and it will keep having you to pivot!

But that’s life.

And having a flexible, simple game plan meant I could pivot, without starting from scratch.

That’s the key: This reset wasn’t about scrapping everything.

It was about realigning.

Checking what was still aligned with who I am and where I’m going …

& then, letting go of the rest.

The Mid-Year Reset Is Giving New Year Energy

If you don't know: I love a new month and a fresh quarter.

So, with it being the middle of the year, and me also doing this mid-year reset, in a sense it was giving new year vibes.

Maybe it's just the fresh month and quarter, and probably the additional accountability of the group of ladies who are doing it as well.

Ok, you might be reading and looking, thinking like didn't the title say this was a reset without starting over? And you're thinking that everything I've said so far is giving "start over", well, it's not a full start over, it's a reset and pivot. I'll explain more on how to do this, without starting over, a little later.

You’re not tossing the whole year. You’re just adjusting the strategy.

Resetting doesn’t mean you failed.

It means you’re paying attention.

This reset is about checking to see where you are, and aren't, in alignment and making the adjustments necessary to get you there.

See, this is why accountability is good and important, it helps you to stay on track, have others that are looking to do the things that you're looking to do as well, or who are there to root you on and encourage you.

🎯 How to Do a Mid-Year Reset, Without Starting Over

So, if you're in this mid-year fog and you need to reset, I've encouraged you to do it last week while I was in the midst of my own, and I'll still encouraging it, as we're officially in the new month and new quarter.

If you’re in that mid-year fog, wondering if your goals still make sense, or how to get your momentum back … This is your moment@

I told you I'd share how to do this reset without starting over.

That’s where the LEE Method comes in, it's what I use for myself and my clients to get clear, get focused, and actually get momentum back (without the shame spiral or the stress).

Let’s walk through it:

🔍 Look – Review

Take inventory.

Where are you right now?

What’s working? What’s not?

This isn't a time for judgment, no, it's just facts.

This is your chance to get honest about what’s been draining your time, energy, and focus.

🧠 Examine – Recommit

Ask yourself:

Does this goal still matter to me?

Is it aligned with who I am now?

If the answer is yes: recommit. If not: release it.

Just because something was important in January doesn’t mean it still deserves your energy in July.

🚀 Execute – Rebuild

Now, rebuild your plan based on where you are now, not where you thought you’d be.

Rework your goals into a new strategy that matches your real life and current, present season.

We're dealing with the facts of the situation and the circumstances, rebuilding doesn't have to mean start over, you might be a step or two off, or it could be more.

This is the part where we don’t just talk about being productive; instead, we build a system that works for you that will help you to get to where you're going, based on the present reality.

You don’t need 15 new habits.

This doesn’t have to be complicated.

You need one plan, built for this version of you.

In fact, the simpler your system, the easier it’ll be to stay consistent.

So … What’s Your Plan?

Let me ask you:

Do you have a plan that fits your life right now?

Not the version of you from January.

Not the overcommitted, exhausted, “I’ll figure it out eventually” version either.

I’m talking about a real plan for this second half of the year, built around your energy, capacity, and priorities today.

Here’s what that looks like:

A 6-month vision — so you know what matters most in this season of life

A quarterly focus — so you can move with intention, not pressure

A monthly map — so you can pivot without panic

A weekly anchor — so your days don’t run you

If you don’t have that yet, it’s okay.

Or if you want to make sure your plan actually fits your life, let’s do it together.

Now’s the time to get the plan in place before the rest of the year runs away from you.

No, you don't need a new year, you just need a new plan that makes sense for this season.

Let's not make it overly complicated.

Let’s not pretend like it’s January.

I can help you create it, in a way that actually feels doable.

That’s exactly what we do in one on one coaching, we do it together.

We’ll review what’s working, realign your goals, and rebuild your plan together.
