Let’s Start a Blog
Sooo … I’m starting a blog.
I mean, I like to write. So, I can do a blog … right?!?
The catch is, I want to be sure that I add value in doing this blog, not just writing for fun or for my own benefit.
Also, I’m the type of person that wants to make sure that when I start something, I can follow through with it.
Blogging requires consistency. So, the idea of starting a blog, and having to write each week, while starting a new business and getting it up and running sounded like I just might be doing too much.
But then, I couldn’t stop thinking about creating a blog. Just like how I couldn’t stop thinking about becoming a life and accountability coach and starting a business … until I started doing it and then more and more excitement built for it as time went on.
I know I have things to say and I hope I can provide value with the things that I say. So, might as well go for it, right?
I know a lot of time when I do my videos and write my posts on social media, I often feel that I have to cut back … so that I don’t write or say too much due to our short attention span, I want to provide value while still keeping your attention.
So, that’s where blogging can be a good thing … I don’t have to cut myself short. (Now, that’s not saying that I’m going to be writing novels here or anything) Since blogs are typically considered long form content, if you’re reading a blog, you’re probably expecting to spend a little more time on it than you would just a typical social media post.
Anywho … I digress.
The point is that, while the idea of starting a blog initially was something I was excited about, then hesitant and resistant about … like becoming a life and accountability coach …. it grew on me and the momentum is building.
Oh, yea, I guess I should tell you about who I am, what you can expect to read about here, and all that jazz.
Who am I?
I’m Alesha … The “Lee” behind Legal.Lee. I help busy people who know what they want in life, but aren’t sure how to get there, achieve their goals.
I grew up “back in the day” when kids really played outside all the time. I also grew up playing sports … basketball, softball, and running track. After graduating high school, going to college, then to law school, and then truly entering the world of adulthood, I tried to keep that activity up … playing intramural sports and then working out as well.
I really enjoy working out, challenging myself with my health and fitness, and I try to live a healthy, but balanced, life.
But, I love food just as much … especially nachos, chicken wings, and all things potatoes. So, this is where the balance comes in because YES you can enjoy those things and make them healthy still … which is what I try to do.
I love murder, mystery, and suspense books. But, for balance, I also really like personal development books as well. So, the podcasts that i listen to are a mix between crime podcasts, personal development podcasts, and just some fun talk show style podcasts.
I like making the most use of my time, and as a result, I’m always doing something … I like to multitask. So, you can find me working out in the mornings while listening to podcasts, cooking while listening to podcasts, working while listening to podcasts, reading, or watching tv while doing some other sort of work.
I love motivating others … getting them to stop being negative … stop thinking negative … shifting their mindset.
I’m a self-proclaimed Personal Development junkie, mindset and motivation guru, and professional hype woman. Accepting this has led me here, to stepping into and truly living in my purpose … being a life and accountability coach.
What’s a Life and Accountability Coach?!?
What does that even mean?!?
You know that you want more out of life … but aren’t sure where to start or what that is? I can help with that. I can help you to find your life purpose and then set goals based off of your dreams.
You have goals … but aren’t sure how to get there? I can help with that. I can help you to create the action steps needed to achieve your goals.
You'll set the goals … you do the work. But, I’ll help guide you through those goals.
I shouldn’t settle for less … You shouldn’t settle for less … none of us should settle for anything less that your true and full potential … because we all deserve to be the best version of ourselves.
When kids are young and they have these wild and crazy dreams … we encourage them. So why shouldn’t we do the same as adults?!?
But, we’ll dive deeper into what a life coach is more in another blog … probably next week.
What can you Expect?!?
So, to the consistency part … every Sunday morning, expect a blog from me.
About what? Who knows lol … but no really ... something encouraging and motivating hopefully.
Tips, tricks, mindset hacks, things that I’ve found to be helpful, or that client’s I’ve worked with have found to be helpful.
Leave a comment … make suggestions … give me topics … PLEASE … Help me to help you.
Oh, and follow my Facebook page or follow me on Instagram if you’re looking for more regular motivation … or just a glimpse into my day to day life.
That’s all for now folks … but in the meantime, change your perspective, change your mindset, change your life.
