Momentum over Mayhem

Your Blueprint for a Balanced, Productive Month

✍🏾 As we roll into May, let’s talk about something real: the chaos that creeps in during this time of year.

It’s no wonder so many high-achieving women are tired, scattered, and stuck in survival mode.

But here’s the thing: busy doesn’t have to mean burnt or burned out.

This month’s theme is Momentum Over Mayhem. It’s all about building consistency, creating calm, and maintaining your momentum without sacrificing your peace.

Oh, and my personal word for the month is to be a WEED. Well, not like the thing in your yard, but to turn that into a mindset.

To be a WEED is to: Withstanding Every Environmental Difficulty.

I’ve missed blogging, no need to address the elephant in the room, or discuss the fact that it’s been over 2 years, just acknowledge the fact that I’m taking action and making change … So, I’m coming back! There’s so much that has happened, but there’s still so much that’s the same …

Instead of being stuck in the space, thought, or mindset that I’ve done this before … I’m taking action and getting moving! This is what you need to do: stop talking about it and be about it.

Here’s what we’ll cover this month:

  • Planning with purpose: Identify simple ways to structure your month that create clarity, not chaos

  • Creating routines that restore you: Find your rhythm in work, business, and just overall in life

  • Resetting without guilt: Understand why slowing down is a strategy and isn’t quitting

  • Maintaining momentum when life gets busy: Create sustainable habits that stick

My goal this month is to help you transition from overwhelm to ownership by simplifying your systems, reclaiming your routines, and making productivity feel like something that’s doable, instead of another thing on your plate. It’s time to ditch the overwhelm when it comes to planning, being productive, and getting things done and to take ownership of your time, your schedule, and your goals.

How to Keep Your Momentum When Life Gets Chaotic

Let’s be real: temperature change or not, May is coming in hot … Like how are we five months into 2025 already?!?

It can’t just be me: work is a mix of ebbs and flows, business is bussing, and life is over here lifing …

& sometimes when this happens, everything starts to feel urgent.

But, just because life gets chaotic, don’t even begin to think that it means your momentum has to die. Nah, it’s the opposite. It just means it’s time to pivot with purpose and keep the momentum going!

But how?!?

As we get back into the groove, here’s 3 quick ways to stay in motion without falling apart:
1. Get Established in YOUR Routines

Don’t worry about creating a 20-step morning routine, if you’re not going to stick to it. I don’t care what anybody else does, if it doesn’t work for me and if it doesn’t work for you. All you need to get started is just a few non-negotiables that keep you grounded. From there, as you get consistent, you can build on it … But for now, please stick to the bare minimum that makes you feel like you.

2. Choose Progress Over Perfection

Momentum isn’t about being perfect, honestly that’s where the chaos and mayhem comes into play because perfection isn’t real. No, momentum is about showing up, and doing so consistently. You’ll have good days, great days, and not so good days. But, no matter if you’re checking off three things, got the whole list accomplished, or you’re not even sure where the list is, it all still counts. Keep showing up, keep moving.

3. Know When to Pause

Yes, rest is productive. If you’re burned out, frustrated, and unfocused, momentum will not be found in that chaos. Take the break, the rest, and pause. Breathe. Recalibrate. You pausing isn’t you giving up, and it’s not you quitting. It’s a temporary reprieve. Please don’t even begin to think that you have to do it all. If you find you’re feeling “off”, take a moment to remind yourself of what matters most and then do that thing!
