Planning with Peace:
How to Create an Aligned Month That Actually Feels Good
Ok, so where did July go?!?
Like we blinked ... Then it was gone, and here we are halfway through Q3, and if you’re feeling behind or some of burnout creep in, you’re not alone.
The goals are still there.
The ambition is still alive.
But the momentum? … Ehhh, not so much.
This is where most people fumble: not because they lack motivation, but because they’re running on fumes trying to force a plan that doesn’t feel good to follow.
Let’s fix that.
It's the beginning of the month, and if you haven't made a plan for the month yet, now is the time.
We've got to stop creating plans that look perfect on paper but feel heavy, chaotic, or unrealistic in real life.
What I really realized is that: we need a strategy that supports the plan ...
It’s time to plan with peace ... Because when your month feels good, your results get even better.
🧘🏾♀️ Why Planning With Peace Matters
Peaceful planning isn’t lazy. It’s strategic.
It’s not about doing less for the sake of rest.
Just like it's not about doing more for the sake of others.
Creating an aligned month, is about the strategy behind it.
In both cases, it’s about doing what matters most in a way that aligns with your capacity, energy, and vision.
If your current plan feels like:
An overstuffed to-do list
A calendar you dread looking at
A pile of open tabs and broken systems
Then it’s time to shift.
It's time to create a strategy that helps you:
To simplify the to do list
To declutter your calendar
To clear out all the half done things
I'm coming into August "a little behind" in the sense that I was initially planning on being off this entire week, so had created this game plan for how I was prepping for the month ...
That didn't become the reality, so that planning didn't happen in the way that I planned for it to happen
But, I'm not letting that be a burden or hinderance to this month.
Because, Thursday, I had this epiphany: a real strategy is what I'm missing.
So, that was the perfect time for me to make the adjustments in my plan, to be strategic.
& because of that ... Here’s how I’m resetting as I head into August (and how you can, too):
1. Reset Your Schedule
A peaceful plan isn’t packed ... it’s purposeful and strategic.
Instead of cramming your days full of to-dos, start building daily or weekly anchors — identifying 3–5 simple, things that keep you steady even when life gets chaotic.
Think of things like:
A set time to check your to do list or tasks
A Saturday brain dump and planning session
Daily non-negotiables that actually fit your lifestyle
Anchors create rhythm. And rhythm creates peace.
This is the beginning of a plan with strategy to match.
✨ If you're trying to figure out what that looks like, ask yourself: What’s one routine or rhythm that helps you feel grounded? How can you build more of that into your month?
2. Upgrade Your Systems
You don’t need more color-coded templates, productivity apps, or 9-step rituals.
You need systems that make your day feel clear, calm, and doable.
Your systems should lighten your mental load, not add to it.
A plan without a strategy to match, isn't a complete system.
When you thinking about upgrading your system, ensuring there's a strategy and a plan, you want to make sure that you have the space and structure to do so.
The upgrade is about making it easier to get it done, not harder.
We want ease to be the default in this system, not hustle.
✨ Ask yourself: What things drains you every week? What system could you create (or simplify) to make it easier?
3. Strengthen Your Self-Accountability
Yes, you need accountability.
No, you don’t need to beat yourself up to get it.
True accountability feels like:
Making time to reflect, not just react
Checking in with compassion, not criticism
Knowing when to adjust the plan — not abandon it
This month, I’m committing to have a strategy behind my plan, which will make the implementation aspect that much better.
I want to remind myself that I'm the CEO of my life ... So I'll spend time each week looking at my progress, adjusting as needed, and reminding myself: I’m playing the long game, so I can't just focus on the squeaky wheel if I want to keep making progress longer term.
Let this be the reminder that accountability starts first with self!
✨ Don't be afraid to ask yourself the hard question: Where do you tend to quit on your plan? Then, instead, how can you build in check-ins that support you?
💡 Final Thoughts: A Peaceful Plan Is a Powerful Plan
This isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing enough of the right things, consistently.
This is where the real strategy work comes into play!
If your plan is overwhelming, you won’t follow it.
If your plan feels peaceful, you’ll trust it.
And when you trust it, you stick to it ...
Even on your busiest days.
So here’s your permission slip:
Let it be simpler.
Let it be aligned.
Let it be lighter.
✨ Your Pivot Point Is Now.
Not next month. Not next week. Not when the year slows down.
Now. Today. Take control. This is your moment to reset.
Next time you blink ... The month will be over!
